Why Colombia
Why Your Donation Goes Further in Colombia
Because Colombia has a lower cost of living, programs that would require hundreds of thousands of dollars in the United States or Europe can instead be implemented in Medellín for a fraction of that cost without sacrificing quality, safety, or measurable outcomes.
Furthermore, communities with urgent humanitarian needs in Medellín are located close to urban infrastructure. As a result, programs can operate without the high logistical costs typically associated with remote or conflict-affected regions.
For example, Kind Footprint’s 350,000 meals during COVID-19 were coordinated through local networks that already existed in the communities therefore, no expensive international logistics were required. Consequently, delivery was faster, cost was lower, and community trust was stronger than any external organization could have achieved.
